What is a bionic pancreas?
It’s the future of insulin therapy. It is a wearable, pocket-sized, automated delivery device.

The iLet is ideal for people living with type 1 diabetes who don’t like counting carbs, adjusting pre-set basal rates, or calculating correction doses.
It’s also ideal for children ages 6 and up with type 1 diabetes.
After startup, the iLet learns about YOU – your basal insulin needs, how to correct you to target, and how much insulin you need for your meals. There are three insulin algorithms that automatically calculate your insulin doses. Also, the iLet communicates directly with the Dexcom G6 or G7 CGMs to know where your glucose levels are headed. The goal of the iLet is to reduce the burden of diabetes management.
